Wow it's been a long time...

Wow, it's been a long time! I don't have much to tell y'all. Dance is going well, but I'm really busy. 7th grade is much harder than 6th. I'm currently at my dance studio 11 hours and 30 minutes a week. PLUS I have show coming up, which includes a 7 hour dress rehearsal..... Yeah, life is pretty crazy.

I still love dolls, but I haven't made a lot for them lately. My friend recently gave me two new dolls, a very old MAG (which makes it an AGT) and a Bitty Baby.

The one on the left is Sophia Laine, and the one on the right is Louisa Jane

Also, for Christmas, my Aunt gave me a $100 gift card to American Girl, which I will use to buy #39

Unfortunately, she's currently backordered, but I WILL get her! I want to name her Cynthia Rose

I have learned a couple new techniques in knitting. I can knit on Double Points, I can cable, and as soon I finish my current project (mittens!), I'll be making socks. I have mostly switched to charity knitting, which is when you donate the projects to different Charities. I have mostly made baby hats and scarves, but I'm gonna donate the mittens I'm making as well!

I guess the last thing (and the main thing) that I want to tell y'all, is that I made a Felicity and Elizabeth tribute. Please no mean comments, I've already gotten mean comments saying I picked bad music (it wasn't that she didn't think the music was appropriate, she thought it was to dramatic), and that it's overly religious. Quite frankly, I just thought it sounded good for a doll archiving, and as you know, I am a Christian, and my dad works for a Christian music company, so naturally, all the music I listen to says something that is SOMEWHAT religious. Anyway, The music is perfectly clean, no bad words or concepts, like I said, it's by a Christian artist, so yeah. ENJOY!

I'm super duper duper duper excited! Cause I just finished a doll music video with my friend! It is to the song "Clothes" by BarlowGirl. If you are not familiar with the song it is totally clean, and by a Christian band so no worries about not being appropriate. HOPE YOU ENJOY!

When Commenting, please keep in mind that this was my second stop motion, and my friend's first. It was also my first music video (friend's first too!) So no mean comment. However if you have something nice to say, I'd love for you to comment about your favorite part. Mine is the hands!

If you are wondering "WHO THE HEC IS THAT DOLL!!!!" That is my friend's Beautiful Girlhood Collection doll. They are a Christian doll (sort of like ALOF's) only they look more like AG's than ALOFs. We think that BGHCD's and AG's order the same parts from a company. They're legs, feet, limbs, and hands look EXACTLY alike only different skin tones.

Hey everyone!

Like always, I've been up to more crafts! This time they were doll braces! This craft idea was given by Joelle (A.K.A. American Girl Forever ) Here's how to make them.

What you need
*Paper
*Scissors
*Pens, markers, crayons, or colored pencils (I used gel pens)
*A toothpick

Here's how to make them

1. draw the braces on paper
2. cut them out

WOW! Isn't that easy?

to apply the braces, take the braces and use a toothpick to put them in your dolls mouth. They should stay in WITHOUT tape or glue

to remove the braces, take a toothpick and get it down between the doll and the paper and lift them out.

A New Dress!!!

Hey everyone!

I though you all might be interested in seeing one of my most recent projects.

This is a Christmas dress I made for Marisol. I made it out of leftover fabric from my SuperGirl Halloween costume. I used the Kirsten's Birthday dress pattern from AGPlaythings' sewing patterns. Since I had a ton of leftover fabric I'm going to make a matching one for Emily!

BTW, that is a french braid headband I did which took an hour to do!

I have made many more new craft projects so keep your eyes open for more new crafts!!!

A Doll Sized Find

Hey Everyone!

Most of you didn't know that this past weekend I went to a revolutionary war reenactment.

It was really cool! We saw a man swallow 3 swords at once, and a hilarious juggling duo!

A lot of people like to sell handmade (and some factory made) things. Fortunately I had a $5 bill in my pocket.

It was very hard to choose what to buy. Here is what I decided on:

A fan, and two miniture bottles! I got the fan for $2 and the bottles for $0.50 a piece.

I'm not quite sure what I want to do with the bottles yet. So far I'm thinking salt and pepper shakers. Do you have any ideas of what I could do with them?

This is a picture of Emily when I did her photo shoot on a rainy day. I was able to take lots of beautiful pictures, but this was my favorite. It was quite scary to take though, because I was afraid she would fall in.

I saw this really cool idea on Liz- AmericanGirlFan (there you go Liz, there's the link.) Called American Girl Show and Tell Wednesday. It's where every Wednesday I will share a photo that has to do with American girl with you, and then I will tell you about it.

This is a picture of Emily when I took her to the Children's Museum of Indianapolis. It's the world's largest children's museum! Here she is in a pretend log in an exhibit called Science Works, and you guessed it, the exhibit is about science! After I took this photo, a little boy went in, and through Emily out of the window! Poor Emily! LOL!

Woohoo! I got my banner done! I changed my banner so that it would get more of a knitting and crochet affect. Do you guys like it? I'm very pleased with how it came out.

If you ever need a good idea for a banner be sure to ask Libby. She had an idea but I already knew what I wanted to do. Thanks anyway Libby, it was very kind of you to think of me!

Oh no! It's official!

AG IS going to retire Kirsten after the holidays. It makes me so sad. Kirsten is my favorite historical character. I love her stories so much. Meet Kirsten is my favorite AG books. At least her books and mini doll will still be around.

I heard that quite possibly there would be a DVD made about Kirsten.

Kirsten was the doll I was going to get next (if I ever did get another). I would ask for her for christmas but the chances of getting her are zip zero nadda goose eggs.

A New Addition to My Doll House

Hey Everyone!

I think you have all seen my doll house before. I recently switched it up a little. I put something that were on the top shelf under my bed, and moved everything over. Then I put the bitty twins' stuff up there, and made a kitchen out of the extra space.

This is the kitchen part. Currently it has a sink, and oven, paper towels, dishes, and a counter

Welcome to Dolls n' Wool

Hello Welcome to Dolls n' Wool,
I'm very excited to start this blog. This blog is all about American Girl Dolls and what I like to make for them. I have been a fan of American Girl since I was 6, and I have been sewing since I was 5. Then when I was 9 I learned to knit, and a year later I learned to crochet. Now I really enjoy mixing all that together to make doll clothes! I have four dolls: Marisol, Emily, and the old blond bitty twins. Those are my lovely Ladies in the picture above.

Please forgive me if I don't update very often as you saw in my profile I'm a very dedicated dancer. This coming year I will be taking 7 hours and 15 minutes of dance.
